TRL – (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) Erbium
Sciton’s TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) is one of the most advanced skin resurfacing technologies available today. Unlike fixed-depth lasers, TRL allows for full control over how deep the laser penetrates—making it highly customizable for a wide range of concerns, from fine lines and deep wrinkles to acne scars and severe sun damage.
TRL precisely targets damaged skin tissue, removing old cells while triggering collagen production and new skin regeneration. It’s an ideal choice for patients seeking dramatic results, particularly for deep wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, or more extensive textural irregularities.
Advanced Laser Precision for Deep Resurfacing
& Dramatic Skin Renewal
-
The Tunable Resurfacing Laser (TRL) by Sciton delivers deep skin resurfacing with unparalleled precision. Using an Erbium:YAG wavelength, TRL can be adjusted to precisely target and vaporize damaged skin layer by layer. It’s ideal for improving deep wrinkles, surgical or acne scars, and advanced sun damage—achieving powerful results with controlled thermal injury and customizable depth.
-
Before treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied and dental-style nerve blocks are administered to ensure optimal comfort—especially when treating areas like the mouth, cheeks, or eyes. The TRL laser is then passed over the skin in a series of precise, tailored passes. Treatment times range from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size and depth of the area being treated.
-
With numbing and nerve blocks, most patients report minimal to moderate discomfort during the procedure. After treatment, the skin will feel tight, warm, or sunburned, with redness, swelling, and oozing expected during the first several days of recovery.
